A solution to the Abortion Issue

May 14th 2009 21:47
I have the perfect solution to the Abortion issue, and it should make my Liberal friends happy. The bigger the Government the better seems to be the way this country is going, so lets let them settle the Abortion issue. The Government is here to take care of us and take every decision away from us right? And that is how things should be, right?

Every female in the United States of child bearing age could be given a shot or norplant device (or something similar) that way they probably won’t get pregnant. Then when the woman thinks she is ready to have a child she can ask the government to let her do so. Then the Government (who only has our best wishes in mind) can decide if the woman is capable of doing so. Whether the child would be able to be taken care of emotionally and financially.

This way unless the birth control failed then the woman would not be faced with a distasteful situation and having to decide on what to do about an unwanted baby. This would almost end the number of abortions in this country and thus make the right wing crowd happy as well. My solution to the Abortion issue of course would limit freedoms of the women but who cares the Government SHOULD make all important decisions for us.

Now of course some may say that the Government has no right to tell a woman what to do with her body or when to have a baby. Well guess what a Socialist Government will do exactly that. Their idea of population control is to kill the very young and the very old. Socialized Medicine will take care of Grandma, now to work on the youngsters.

If you doubt a Socialist Government will do such things then do a little research on China. At least my solution to the Abortion Issue does not involve forced abortions for those who don’t want them. But our new Government may plan it that way, only time will tell.

Randy I think the abortion issue has been done to death on Orble, I am not intending to read this post but I would like you to know you have indicated a picture of a well developed fetus, and to think of the connection with abortion is just so abhorrent, I hope you understand why I do what I am doing. That fetus is just too big for even the most tolerant of liberals to condone. I am generally anti abortion.

I don't think there is a solution to this. Maybe a few thousand vasectomies wouldn't go astray !!

There are morning after pills or emergency contraception.
for those who has a sexual intercourse without using contraception and avoid to getting pregnant. But it works effective for 72 hours after intercourse.

Abortion itself is a sensitive issues not only involving law, politics, but spiritually.
If you don't want to do abortion then don't pregnant.
If you don't want then avoid the unsafe intercourse.

Back to self-control.

I seriously can't believe that government sanctioned birth control is the way to go. People need to be responsible for themselves, plain and simple. With so many ways to prevent pregnancy today, including free clinics for family planning, there is no reason for unwanted babies to exist. Unless it's rape- then I think abortion should be an option, definitely.

So, you think that a child deserves the death penalty for the crime of being alive, Kristin? I thought better of you than that.

thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard. So let me see i understand you correctly you want the government to control us? if thats correct how do you think the government can be responsible for us when there not responsible for their on self and on top of that they are so crupted that they would do everything to benfit themselves before us.

Actually I don't want the government to control us, I was trying to stir up some comments by showing where we are headed, which IS total control of our lives.

who is this person who wrote this bull shit blog is it a male? reading this bull makes me think its a male and a rapist targeting women. i thought America is a free country this topic should be up to women not sexist men.
EASY if you don't intent to get pregnant then use protection. What about all those poor women who are raped and they don't find out until a couple of weeks later don't they have a choice to have abortion? my opinion is that every single person can decide there own choice of action not some government who don't know anyone personally.

here, here!

i like your thinking, Gaye
why do people only ever look to women in the abortion issue, its about time men took some responsibility for themselves

People look to women on the abortion issue because only women can have one. Not to mention that the father of the child has no say in the matter.

it takes two people to make a baby, Randy

if you want to apply mandatory contraceptive measures to the population, it would be equally as effective to sterilise men as it would be to sterilise women . . . actually it is usually a less intrusive procedure

In fairness to Randy I think he was being satirical in his proposal...as in mandatory abortion/contraception would happen in the US under a Socialist govt...not saying I agree. It just appears that many have missed what he was actually trying to say.

Ruby read correctly what my intent in the article was. On the Abortion issue I believe it should be for each state to decide on by a vote of the people in that state.

As with gay marriage, abortion should be decided by the states. Unfortunately, when the vote goes against the liberal agenda, it gets passed into law anyway by activist courts and politicians.

Y'know, you in the No Abortion Never crowd should be cautiously optimistic about Obama. During the campaign he said in public that "feeling blue" is not a legitimate reason for having an abortion (and Planned Parenthood didn't see fit to point out everything wrong with that statement, from his gross oversimplification to his resurrection of the ancient women are too emotional and irrational to make decisions trope). His policy on the issue so far has been about "outreach" and "common ground," which seems to require concessions only from the pro-choice movement.

I have a solution for abortion. Have all the anti-abortionists support pregnant women who want to get an abortion, then adopt and raise all the children. It would be a win/win situation.
But its funny how some people think that the Government should make all important decisions for us, only if its their opinion. If it contradicts their ideologies or religion then they have an issue with it.
Nuts.

There are thousands of loving families who would happily adopt the murdered children. The problem is that most of the murderous "mommies" consider the babies their "property" and can't stand the thought of something that belongs to them being given away. My husband and I tried to adopt a special needs child and were refused because our oldest daughter had died. The rules for adoption need to be more reasonable and women need better counseling before killing their children. Infanticide should be illegal. It might be a nice idea for people to keep their pants on, too. Indiscriminate sex is the cause of 99% of unwanted pregnancies.

S.L.- You're right about abortion being the death penalty for the innocent child who was created from a rape. I just never thought of it that way. That's really horrible. These children could be adopted if the mother really didn't want to raise the rapist's child. I do have a big problem with abortion. I know some women think it's the only way or the easy way out, and that's definitely wrong. I would personally never have one or condone anyone I know to have one.

Hi Kristin! The problem is that most people only think about the inconvenience or embarrassment of the "mother" and not the baby who dies. People who consider themselves "pro-choice" either don't allow themselves to understand what they supposedly favor, or are horrified by the evidence of it. My mother was a good Democrat who thought she was pro-choice until I handed her some color pictures of murdered babies. She screamed and threw up. I pointed out to her that she'd been defending those who committed such a hideous act and she didn't speak to me for several days. After she had time to think about it, she decided that she'd been wrong.

Some people stubbornly pretend that the pictures are faked and that it's only a lump of unviable tissue. When they hear of a terrible case like the baby girl in Florida who was born alive and wrapped in a plastic bag, then tossed on the roof of the abortion clinic, they don't want to believe it. Wearing blinders doesn't change reality. And allowing evil to continue will never solve anything. B.O. (B.S.) would have been proud of the "nurse" who threw the baby on the roof. And people wonder why I detest him...
