Educating Liberals
May 6th 2009 00:09
It is time to stop fussing with our Liberal neighbors and try to educate them. Losing America to the far left is too serious to be petty even when being constantly insulted. I am going to try to get this post out to as many Conservative bloggers as I can find to try to get some feedback.
Ok first not all liberal ideas are bad especially when not taken to the extreme. Going Green is a very good idea at its base. We do need to conserve our natural resources and my idea of green is cleaning out the great outdoors as well.
I think we need to target the moderate Democrats and try to reason with them that the far left is not what this country needs. Anymore than the far right is, to be honest. We really do need to be centered for the majority of Americans to be comfortable to for the United States to be a great country. I don’t mean by giving in to the Democrats like when John McCain walks across the aisle. He does that by walking backwards and bent over.
Most Liberals honestly want the best for the people in the United States. However the media has been in love with the far left and have led the traditional Democrats away from the center. It is time we quit treating them like the enemy to be ridiculed. Anger leads to a refusal to debate in a clear headed way.
If you have a blog that attracts Liberals and often insults, turn the other cheek. When somebody slams your posts this is what you should do. Thank them for reading your post and taking the time to comment. I like to say “Thanks for your opinion and I respect your right to it under the Freedom of Speech, please respect mine as well.”
I have gotten away from political writing in part to getting burned out during the Election. I am trying to make more time for it now as this is a very important time in the history of the United States. Frankly writing is a 2nd income for me and I make nothing for this blog. I have a family to support so I write where I get paid. However it is becoming apparent to me that helping this country out of the Socialist mess we are in is support in a big way.
We need more Conservative bloggers (and I am not a Republican) who are good writers and debaters. We need to try to get our points across in a calm non- confrontational way to educate rather than alienate. I feel the Internet is an awesome tool and we are behind President Obama’s crowd in its use. I have found many great Conservatives on Twitter and ask anyone not on there to give it a try. You can follow me on Twitter here. I would love some feedback on my ideas and thanks to anyone who reads this. The photo used in this post comes from Wikimedia Commons and is used under this license.
