The guy seems a little defensive (but that happens).

I'm not gay myself, so obviously I don't see it as a gay person would, and not being religious, I don't see it as a religious person would. But I've never understand the whole flap from either side of the issue.

Gays, OK, being told that you can't legally marry is a little dehumanizing, but so what? All it means that the people who don't accept you anyway have an extra reason to do so. All these years building up gay culture, and now you want to integrate? Assuming civil unions confer the same rights, what's the problem?

And uptight straights, I still don't understand how letting gays marry threatens marriage. If people want to make a commitment and settle down in the state of matrimony instead of cat around, doesn't that strengthen the institution?

The whole thing's been way over-politicized. It's sad.

I left a comment for Snidely, too, Randy. Did you know that I used to work for AC? I was fired when a problem developed between me and another person. The other person was a man who wanted a sex change so he could become a lesbian. Yep, No joke. I refused to "celebrate" it's position and it started stalking and threatening me. I never went after it, but I did finally complain to AC. They fired me, not it.

A little poetic justice, though, it pulled the same thing on others and was eventually fired. LOL

On the subject of gay marriage... the liberal activists want us to shut up now that B.O. has won. But their favorite cause was lost and they're attacking churches! And little old ladies! Nice rational folks, huh?

LOL Randy. That's why. Besides what would you call it? A man who wants to be a woman so he can be a lesbian is badly confused. His/her/its confusion rubbed off, I guess.

Hey Randy, I don't support gay marriage, and I don't see why they want to keep forcing the issue when they have civil unions which give them the same rights under the law.

They are trying to gain moral legitimacy by using the word marriage, which they can never do since homosexuality is not moral by Christian standards and never will be.

It's the liberal agenda, Lester. Take what was right and make it wrong. Take what was wrong and make it right. They can take their ideas and fly them around the room. They make me sick!

Wow. S.L. Bradish you are a bigot. Calling any human being an IT is disgusting no matter how much you disagree with them or their choices. I would have sacked you in an instant for such disgusting behaviour and you laugh about it? You should be ashamed of yourself and your oh so Christian treatment of another human being by treating them as less than human. S.L you make ME sick.

Why are you people so threatened by gay marriage? If you go by the true meaning of the bible that marriage is meant purely for procreation then also take away the right to all people who are infertile and anyone who wants to marry over the age of 55. They ain't going to be producing kids so why should they be able to marry either?

Last time I looked, Johnny, there were only two genders... male and female. Since It was in the middle of changing from one to the other, it would have been inaccurate to call It either one. And since It became outraged and offended from time to time by being called "him" or "her" what would you suggest that I should have called It?

And no, I'm not a bigot. I don't approve of the gay lifestyle. My religion says it's morally wrong. And I don't want to see marriage redefined. Even the obnoxiously liberal California voters don't want marriage to be anything but between a man and a woman. But don't worry, Johnny, I'm sure B.O. will make it legal and then you can be all kinds of happpy, right?

I thought the California voters decided that issue but it is the courts there that will allow gay marriage.

California voted against gay marriage, then the court insisted on it, then it was placed on the ballot again and again the voters were against it (by a very sizeable margin). But it probably won't matter after Jan. 20th anyway, Randy. B.O. will probably make it a national law, "centrist" that he is.
