Gun Control won't stop mass shootings

It seems like every time some nut job goes on a mass shooting in America, the liberals start screaming for more gun control. On a writers forum I attend we were discussing the Fort Hood Shooting. One blubbering idiot started off her post by saying she was from near Waco Texas but didn’t own guns so we didn’t have to worry about her.
Ok folks here is the truth; gun control will never work in America. There are too many guns on the street for it to ever work. Granted liberals really want law abiding citizens to be disarmed so there can be more anarchy. But let’s pretend that liberals really think gun control can stop mass shootings.
If a person wants a gun bad enough he she will get one. There will be a huge black market for guns when they are banned, and they will be bought and sold often. A mass shooter is much more likely to attack an unarmed group of people
If a potential mass shooter thinks part of the crowd may be armed he may hesitate. His goal is a huge number of victims. And if part of the crowd is armed when attacked by a mass shooter, then they can defend themselves.
The Fort Hood Shooter hits a little close to home as my girlfriend went to school with him. She said he was pretty quiet in school and nobody would have thought him capable of this.
We need more people armed and trained in self defense not people who are not allowed to defend themselves. In big places like college campus’s it may keep people alive if a student is armed and can hold off an attacker until help arrives.
