I thought a brief introduction would give everyone an idea of who I am since I would like to start blogging on Waxing Political. I am a 37 year old mom, wife, nurse, and freelance writer. I am a disenfranchised Republican and a flailing Catholic. My political beliefs are not flailing, they are most definitely conservative.

I grew up in a democratic household where the mantra was: “The democrats are for the little people, and the republicans are for big business.” I grew up believing this until I started listening to the politicians that my parents supported. They did not see that their political party had changed drastically from the Kennedy democrats into supporting only special interest groups and a socialism agenda. I do not want to make the same mistake with the party that I currently support.


I am a Catholic who went on a seven year sabbatical. I try my best to live according to Catholic beliefs, but being human, I fail continuously. I know my pitfalls and will always work at being a better person.

I have buried my head in the sand for too long. That is why I am here.

Welcome aboard, Kim! Orble is a great place to speak your mind. Goodness knows, I manage to run off at the keyboard almost non-stop. Don't let the few rude people get the better of you. Stand your ground and tell it like it is and you'll do fine.
