Honduras is more important to U.S. than Iran

July 4th 2009 13:13
President Obama was quick to condemn the ousting of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya by his own military. The Honduran President was trying to destroy their constitution and implement at dictatorship and the military moved to stop him. In a bloodless coup the Honduran Military woke him up in the middle of the night and put him on a plane out of the country.

President Manuel Zelaya was replaced with Congressional leader Roberto Micheletti who will serve as President until their next election. Now the issue is that Manuel Zelaya WAS elected to the office of President. But when he went rouge and was going to stop elections he was peacefully removed. The Honduran Supreme Court said the removal was a legal defense of democracy according to this Yahoo News story.

Communist leaders such as Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez and America’s Barack Obama condemned this removal. Chavez has even threatened the use of his military to return Zelaya to power in Honduras.

You may be wondering why President Obama is so inflamed by this situation. After all he all but ignored the turmoil in Iran over their fraudulent elections. The reason President Obama had no problem with Iran is his own love for election fraud. Obama worked for ACORN (noted voter fraud specialists) and gave them tax payer money and installed them to run the census.

The reason that President Obama is mad about the Honduras Coup is that it was over a leader wanting to tear up a constitution. Former President Zelaya was going to destroy the Honduran Constitution and continue serving at his post. The President of Honduras has term limits and he was going to do away with those.

I believe that President Obama would gladly (and probably will) destroy the Constitution of the United States. Representative Jose Serrano of New York already is trying to get the 22nd Amendment repealed in order to allow Obama multiple terms. His H.J. Res. 5: would do this.

In this YouTube video Obama says the Constitution of the United States is flawed. He clearly sees it as a block to the Socialist Agenda in the United States, which you can read about here.

If Hugo Chavez uses his military to install Zelaya to power the United States will do or say nothing about it. President Obama and the Democratic Congress and Senate have switched sides and now America supports Socialism everywhere.

I think the mess with North Korea and their missile threats are just to take attention away from what Obama is doing on a domestic front. I would not be shocked to see a limited war break out on the Korean Peninsula when “Obamacare” comes up for a vote. Just to distract us from what is happening here at home. It is less likely but possible that North Korea would be allowed to take over South Korea by the United States.

But back to the topic of Honduras. Obama hates that people in the United States condemn a leader that wants to destroy a constitution. This will make it more difficult for him to do the same thing to ours. The Honduras situation should be much more important to Americans than what is going on in Iran. Because it mirrors something we may face in the future.

Scary days ahead, Randy. B.O.(B.S.) is shedding his former skin and showing the maggots of communism that lie beneath. His hatred of freedom is getting clearer every day, as are his plans for owning us.

With his cover coming off, and the evil plans coming to the light of day more and more people will no doubt take notice, and come to their senses.

is it possible that Obama is scared that one morning he will be awakened by some general and told to get dressed, because he was on his way to his land of citizenship. One can only hope.

Socialists everywhere! Hide the kids, the dog, lock and load! Of course the story ignores that what the military did in Honudras was a far more egregious attack on their Constitution than what their president did - don't get me wrong, there wasn't a completely right or completely wrong side here, but the attempt to lift term limits could have been struck down, or if worse came to worse, enforced by the military. A right wing power grab wasn't the correct way to do it, especially in light of the heritage right wing movements have in Latin America..

Jeff I am trying to raise Joe McCarthy on the Ouija board and see if he is ready to come back. Yours is the first name I will give him!

I think the answer to why Obama has responded the way he has is simpler: he responds to the appearance of power. If you have the surface trappings and appear to be king, you are king. He, like Jeff up above, does not understand the subtlety of the Honduran constitution, which states that the moment a head of state of the country does anything to abrogate any of the seven critical core points of their constitution -- he is to be removed immediately, and the legislature will formalize everything later, which they have. It's because Honduras and so many other Latin countries have had so many coups and power-mad dictators -- and it's a well-conceived point in their specific situation.

BTW, I remember Jeff Musall! Very trollish, about as nutty as Ted Rall with a fraction of the intelligence. I recommend a strong "ignore" directed at him in most cases.

LOL Yes, kywrite, you do know Jeff. He's like a disease ridden mosquito across the room. Hard to swat and best to avoid.

If this is a party, then where is the chips and beer?

Sorry to respectfully disagree with your assertions. There is one specific point about Iran you make that I especially take issue with: " After all he all but ignored the turmoil in Iran over their fraudulent elections. The reason President Obama had no problem with Iran is his own love for election fraud..." it is absolutely false and without foundation. Throwing out inaccurate statements is really irresponsible. He did exactly the right thing otherwise he would have played into the hands of the right in Iran. Unfortuatnely this assertions shows a lack of understanding for the realities on the ground in Iran today. If he would have taken up the suggestions that you all have had, Moussavi would have probably been shot..and then what/ Already these guys have thrown ex-Vp's, ex deputy ministers and miniters in jail, but they have not dared touch Mousavi, Karoubi and Khatami yet...precisely because the Adminstration has had the wisdom to avoid such issues. UK was not even involved..and still they tossed out diplomats and have had UK embassy staff in detention.

Mike have you heard of ACORN and how much money Obama gave them?

Well put, Mike -logic doesn't float in the right wing zealot pond...if Obama would have been the blowhard they say he should have been, Iran would be the worse for it...I find it interesting that those who so used the poor girl who was killed to further their criticisms of Obama - interesting that those same voices wanted Bush and/or Israel to bomb Iran, even so much as John McCain chose to sing about it...that action would have killed thousands, and done nothing except cement power in Iran around the hard right.

Jeff as a card carrying liberal you are falling into line with the anti Israel crap. They HAVE to bomb Iran or get nuked.

Do you not see the illogic of your statement? Most certainly in Iran right now, there is a right wing couterpart of yours, writing or saying Iran must attack Israel or be destroyed....birds of a feather, eh?

Isn't it odd, kywrite how Iran is now considering changing their election results to what they should have been to begin with? And even odder how support for a constitution means nothing to B.O. (B.S.)? Some people just have a need to defend the indefensible, no matter the cost to reality or common sense.

Hi Randy,

I did not mention ACORN...I talked about Iran and the reaction of the Obama Adminstration. Iran's record is not in focus here...what I wanted you to understand is that if Obama had interefered, it would have played into the hands of idiotnjead and the amen crowd out there who stole the election. Obama did it smart in this case...because he understood the history.....

SL -- I hadn't caught that. I've been running my son and his Marine buds all over the island this weekend! Heck of a nice 4th, though -- at Pearl Harbor with Marines and sailors! Must catch up on my news tomorrow.

AFA Mike's point -- I don't think Obama needed to attack anyone. But it may have been helpful to the protesters had he listened to Hillary Clinton's advice to begin with, instead of days later (am I really supporting Hillary? I guess I am.)

Sounds like you had a great 4th, kywrite! My grand nephew and a buddy of his came home for the weekend. They visited around, helped me with some chores, and set off their own fireworks.

I'm glad North Korea didn't shoot at you!
