Letterman's attack on Palin's 14 year old daughter

David Letterman’s idea of a joke is to accuse a 14 year old girl of getting knocked up by A-Rod during a Yankees game. He did show his manliness by also attacking an adult female. He accused the child’s mother Sarah Palin of dressing like a slut.
We can go over the ground where I point out that if a Conservative with Letterman’s audience said that about a liberal child then the feces would hit the fan. But we all know that. It is perfectly acceptable to insult conservative women and kids.
David Letterman’s attack on Sarah Palin’s daughter is just more proof of how the men of the left feel about women. As long as they toe the party line then they are to be tolerated. But if one is a conservative then they can unleash their real feelings about all women on them.
Funny that liberalism is setting women’s lib back 50 years. But hey that’s ok they will respect liberal women in public anyway. And in a way I don’t blame Letterman for his attack on Palin.
In the entertainment business you have to target your audience. His audience is liberal because conservatives don’t watch much late night television. We are too tired from actually working a job all day to stay up and watch assholes on television.

When this crap over Bristol Palin came out, I wrote that it was a private family affair. But, it appears that Governor Palin sought to use this to her political advantage. Governor Palin and her husband should have made sure that her daughter did not fall into this. Levi Johnson was living with her in her house. Where is the sense of responsiblity in that?
Bristol at least has come out noting the mistake she made. But what is bothersome is how you all have the tendency of framing things in very simple terms to grab headlines...just like Governor Palin did on her facebook page....The world is a lot more than the simple notion of Liberal vs. Conservative. Simple slogans will not overcome the social and economic malaise we are faced with.

And Mike, having Levi living in the same house with Bristol (and their baby) was no different than several million other engaged people with babies. Should the Palins have been afraid the couple might have sex? Personally, if my daughter got pregnant out of wedlock, we'd be having a wedding immediately.
