NC Governor takes educational lottey funds

March 9th 2009 16:19
New North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue didn’t take long to show her true colors. She is seizing the North Carolina Lottery money to use for state operating expenses. According to this Associated Press article, she had repeatedly said the money should only be used for educational purposes.

The North Carolina Educational Lottery is to be just that, a fund for education in our state. I am a conservative independent who voted for Bev Perdue because of her stance on education. She was the first and will be the last Democrat I ever voted for, for North Carolina Governor. She has proven already to be a typical tax and spend liberal democrat. She sure does not seem to want to reduce state spending, when there is a windfall at her fingertips.

North Carolina wouldn’t even have a lottery if it wasn’t for the educational aspects of it. We didn’t have one for years and watched neighboring states make lots of money off of their lotteries. Bev Perdue taking the lottery money from education shows me once and for all not to trust a democrat in office.

Hey Randy, I can't bring myself to trust anything that a democrat says. I don't nor will I ever trust them, they all are a like, bad for the country.

Bad and dangerous, indeed, Randy and Lester. I was actually talked into voting for Harry Reid once. That was before he became such a pain in the neck. Many years ago, I met former NV Governor Miller and immediately knew he was a Democrat by the vacant way he talked. I had just moved to Nevada and had a sudden opportunity to spend some time with the governor. The conversation was much like what one could expect from a chat with B.O. (B.S.). It didn't matter what substantive question I asked him, he replied with "Well... in a perfect world..." and said something idiotic, trying to sound like he understood the questions. How these people get elected to anything is beyond me.
