Sotomayor

Recently I wrote an article about how the Liberals were demeaning the word Racism. And I alluded to the fact that THEY are often the real racists and I was proven correct. With President Obama wanting to appoint racist statement making Judge Sotomayor. I get the whole first Hispanic lady nominated and all that. However anytime the Republicans have wanted to nominate a Hispanic, then the Democrats pooped a brick to stop it and based on race. Yet we evil right wingers must ignore racist and stupid comments by Judge Sonia Sotomayor.
The fact that she apparently believes Judges should make the law and not just interpret it is very disturbing. And the statement she made about a Latina woman making a better Judge than a White man” (Paraphrasing) would get a Republican Judge tarred and feathered.
I understand that the Republicans can’t do much to stop her nomination but they should at least be seen making the effort. Both parties are losing more people who are becoming independents such as me. But the quasi Liberal parts of the Republican Party need to wake up to what the conservatives want. And that is a party with a backbone and some common sense.

But I would like to pose a larger question to you and I would expect that it cannot be honestly answered without a measure of introspection.
Are there any conceivable circumstances under which a decision by President Obama could be met, accepted and considered good for our country?
(Please don’t just say, “Certainly, if he were to change his general views 180°.)
To anticipate your same question to me: Yes. I already have expressed disagreement and disappointment with some of his decisions.

This will come as a shock, I am sure, but I take no direction for what or whom I may mention.

To answer the question
Yes I was pleased with how President Obama dealt with the pirates. I am pleased he is concerned with losing jobs that get outsourced. If he does something I like, I will say so.

BTW, being referred to as an insect? That's name calling. But I've been called worse.
And since when has it been "Stillman" and not simply "Jim"?

I would love to know what you don't agree with that he has done though.

I, as a conservative American, can say I originally applauded BO with the pirate issue. That is until I later learned that he was sitting back playing that politics as usual game and forced the captain (I believe) to take his chances and make the order to take the pirates out.
I actually thought for a moment that there was some backbone that we could possibly rely on to protect this great nation in times of hard decisions.

As to what the Presient has accomplshed, specificakky a legislative Bill to which I object, no legislation of significance as been enacted yet.
