War pending with Iran?

Is war pending with Iran or is it just a flexing of muscles? I have been worried about Iran for years and wrote about their military in 2007, you can read that here. With Iran doing every possible to get nuclear weapons and threatening the United States, war is almost inevitable.
A friend of mine who is heavily into politics told me the other day that President Obama would go to war with Iran by September. My buddy says Obama will do it so he won’t lose the election as Americans would not want to switch President’s in the middle of a war. I am not that cynical as the damage a war with Iran will do to our economy will hurt President Obama more than anything.
I DO think we need to try to destroy Iran’s nuclear program with air strikes or whatever means short of nuclear weapons we have at our disposal. It is bad enough that Pakistan has nuclear weapons; Iran would make sure theirs got used by some terrorist group.
If the United States went to war with Iran we would win, and win easily. I don’t want to see that happen as it could start a new world war based in the Middle East. That would destroy our economy and cost many lives.
I think we need to make it clear to Iran that regime change will be made if their nuclear program isn’t abandoned. If we can destroy their program without all out war then we need to do that.
As a father of sons of fighting age I am very worried about war with Iran. As a matter of fact one of my son’s went last week for his physical in prelude to joining the Army. Another son of mine is in ROTC in high school and wants to join the Army when he graduates.

But we can’t let Iran develop nuclear weapons and become a huge danger to Israel. That is where my fear lies that if Israel attacks Iran then the Middle East will blow up with several countries coming to Iran’s aid.

The Political Brief
The win-win is for Iran (and all Muslims). Their greatest goal is to bring in the Mahdi (12th Imam, aka anti-Christ). So, if we leave them alone or hit their nuclear plants, they can use it to their advantage. No matter what Israel does, Iran can use it. Chaos brings the Mahdi.
I understand your concerns, my grand daughter is a Marine.

I agree Obama would use a war to win the election if that is what it takes. He is a very evil man and his motives are selfish and self centered. The mark he is going to leave on the history of the world will be a stain.
