Well Done President Elect Obama

President Elect Obama
President Elect Obama
The United States of America has truly reached an epic point in the history of our great country. An African American has been elected to our highest office. Something nobody would have expected to see in their lifetime 30 years ago (or less, probably) and we can all say we were alive when it happened. As a history buff I can appreciate this moment in our history.

I wish President Elect Obama the very best and hope he does a great job for the American People.

Lots of bitterness by both sides has been seen on the internet and in our daily lives. Name calling and insults have abounded on blogs here at Orble and elsewhere. I responded to being called a racist by labeling everyone a communist who didn’t agree with me.

To set the record straight everyone who didn’t vote for Obama isn’t a racist. They really are not. And everyone who voted for Obama isn’t a communist.

We need to work together and make this country the great place it could become again. Will I keep blogging against Liberalism? Probably yes but I will try harder to be objective and fair.

Good Luck President Elect Obama and congrats to his supporters

Sorry Randy, I can't be that nice about it. He and his philosophy are dangerous both to us and to the rest of the world. I don't wish him well, I wish he'd resign.

I am just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Too many doubts for me, Randy, and no discernable benefits.

Thank you, Randy, for the demonstration of what makes an American.

Oh I thought all day about what kind of post I would make. I almost went the bitter route but I didn't see the point.

It is what it is.

Yay Randy,

Excellent post. Nice to see someone on that side being open and hopeful like the candidate they supported (McCain) instead of the alternative which can be found in some other areas of the site.

Hey Randy I will pray for Obama because I am a Christian, and the Bible tells me to, I will do it for the sake of my Country. I do wish he lets God lead him, and that he surrounds himself with people that will help heal, and not divide further.

Mr. President Elect Obama the eyes of a nation are upon you.

Good post Randy....I'm really glad to read this and that you didn't take a negative route as so many would and could have done.

Wow well done. I'm really glad you took a moment to acknowledge the historical significance of Obama's election.

It's heartening to see someone rise above their own personal disappointment in the result to acknowledge this as a major moment in history.

You have shown your true love of your country by recognising that it is all citizens working together that makes a nation truly great.

Well done.

I call it like I see it. I am sure I will tick somebody off over President Elect Obama again at some point. But he IS going to be our President.

Hey Randy,

I like the benefit of the doubt, I mean there is no point making claims about what he will do (unless you've got some mysterious crystal all perhaps). I don't think it matter's what country you're from, your head of state will never be able to please 100% of the population 100% of the time... as long as they are seen to be making a solid effort in the interest of the country as a whole (as well as the welfare of our neighbours) I am somewhat satisfied.
